2. Information We Collect
We gather info directly from you—like when you fill out the Frank’s The Straight Goods Assessment or interact with our site. This could be your email, comments, or messages. If you post someone else's personal info, you're confirming that you have their consent.
When you buy something on Frank, we need to know the usual—payment details, contact info, and what you're getting.
We also collect some tech specs whenever you use our website, like what browser you're using or your screen size.
3. Cookies
We use cookies to keep our website working as it should, like saving your login status or remembering your settings. Our cookies might stick around on your device until they expire or you clean them out.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how you use Frank. You can opt out of this tracking through this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Blocking cookies might make Frank less friendly to use, just so you know.
4. Using Your Information
Here’s how and why we use your Customer data:
To send The Straight Goods Assessment and other account-related messages.
To confirm you’re really you, especially for securing your account.
To handle transactions if you buy something and keep you in the loop with your purchases.

To respond to your support requests.
To connect you with one or more of our trusted partners such as angel investors, incubators and financial service advisors who may be able to support your immediate venture goals.
We don’t share any of your personal answers or full results — we may share a high-level match summary if certain general indicators align with a partner’s criteria (for example: “early-stage, or revenue-generating, etc.). It’s purely to help connect you with the right support, never to expose your details.
Here’s how and why we use your Partner data:
To send notifications and other account-related messages.
To confirm you’re really you, especially for securing your account.
To build your custom algorithm.
To customize your Frank experience and refine your custom algorithm.
To handle financial side of our relationship.
To help you connect with other users in the Frank community.
To respond to your support requests.
And we also:
Use your feedback and usage data to improve Frank.
Conduct internal research to get smarter about entrepreneurship.
Keep Frank secure and crack down on any shady business.
Work with law enforcement if necessary to protect you and the community.
Make sure everyone's using Frank according to the rules.
What we will NEVER do:
Sell your personal data or customer lists to anyone.
Share your full assessment answers or results with partners.
Give partners direct access to your private responses or account details.
Use your data for unrelated advertising or third-party marketing.
Spam you or overload your inbox — we keep it relevant.
Let anyone impersonate you or access your account without verification.
Make introductions or share match summaries without your consent (unless a partner promo code was used).
Store payment information without proper encryption and safeguards.
Use your info in a way that doesn’t align with your venture goals or platform experience.
5. Consent to Data Collection, Matching, and Referrals
Before we store any of your data, we’ll clearly explain how your info will be used for.
We use our own internal logic to assess alignment between your answers and potential partner’s services that might be of interest to you. If certain general characteristics match (like, for example, your business stage or target industry), we may flag this as a possible fit. However, partners do not access your personal data or influence how your results are calculated. We never provide access to raw assessment data or let partners make decisions about you directly without your permission.
If you use a partner referral or promo code to access the Frank Assessment, it counts as implied consent to share a basic prospect ranking (e.g., strong, moderate and weak prospect score) as well as your name and contact information, with that trusted Frank partner so they can follow up or offer support.
To be clear: we do not share any individual answers, or your results, just a high-level summary of your results with your name and contact information.
If you don’t use a promo code, we’ll always ask for your explicit opt-in before sharing any information with one of our trusted partners.
Your data stays private unless you say otherwise — simple as that. And you’ll always have the choice to opt-in or change your mind. You can withdraw your consent at anytime by emailing us at frankadvice23@gmail.com .
6. International Data Transfer
Being a global digital platform, we might need to share your info with providers outside of Canada. We will make sure it’s protected under GDPR or similar standards.
Here’s who we might share your data with:
MailChimp for newsletters.
Microsoft for email communications.
Payment processors like Stripe or PayPal.
Google for analytics.
Communication tools like Slaask.
We limit what we share, encrypt what we can, and keep it as safe as possible.
7. Managing Your Info
If you’re part of the Frank community, you can update or delete your profile at any time.
You can:
Request access to the personal data we have on file
Ask us to delete your data completely
To do either, just send a message to frankadvice23@gmail.com and we'll take care of it promptly. Please note that some data, like discussion posts or survey responses, may stay for our records.
If you lose access to your account email, we might not be able to verify you, so keep that current.
8. Retaining Your Info
We keep your data only as long as we need to provide you with our services. Inactive accounts periodically get cleared out of our system.
9. Sharing Your Info
Posting on Frank? It’s public unless it's in a private conversation. Our team will only access your data when necessary. While payment information is encrypted, other data is handled with care and monitored for security.
Your personal data stays private, and we’ll never sell or publicly share our customer list. We may share your info if:
The law says we have to.
We need to protect our rights.
We’re restructuring or growing and need to pass information on to involved parties.
We believe it’s necessary to prevent imminent harm.
We believe one of our trusted partners could help you on your venture journey – we may share a high-level summary of your assessment results, such as your business stage or industry, with a trusted partner if you’ve opted in. This helps identify potential alignment, but we never share your full responses or contact details without your consent. These rankings are used by partners to prioritize who they may want to reach out to. Any follow-up will come directly from them and not from Frank.
We don’t mess with ads or sell your data.
We do not engage in automated decision-making with legal or significant effects. Any rankings we generate are used only to suggest possible alignment with partners and do not restrict your access to any services.
10. Your Rights
You’ve got rights when it comes to your data:
To know how we use it and to access it.
To update incorrect info.
To ask us to delete it, in some cases.
To get a copy of your data for transferring elsewhere.
To object to direct marketing.
To challenge decisions made without human involvement.
To restrict how we use your data in certain situations.
To withdraw consent where that's the basis of our processing.
To complain to a supervisory authority.
Want to use these rights? Just email us at frankadvice23@gmail.com.
11. Securing Your Info
We do our best to protect your data with technical and organizational measures, but no system is infallible—so always be cautious.
